BA (Hons) Illustration
I am an illustrator who enjoys using a range of media including graphite and coloured pencils, print, paints and digital drawing resources. I am particularly interested in the subject of children’s education and how creative play can enhance their learning and imagination. My final project encapsulates the enthusiasm I have for being climate crisis conscious and how illustration can be used to encourage and teach children about the importance of reducing waste and what they can do to be more eco-friendly in fun, resourceful ways.
My children’s activity book using up-cycled materials, includes a range of workshops involving an assortment of the most common household waste materials such as plastic bottles, cardboard food packaging, cartons, wrappers etc. “That’s Not Rubbish!” offers a compilation of exciting activities with 3 different difficulty levels, indicated through the red, yellow and green colour scheme, so that a variety of abilities can get involved.
