BA (Hons) Architecture
With an advocacy for design centred around the human, my time as an architecture student has explored the interrelationships between art, architecture and the human through form, technicality and function. Focusing on comfortable design and structures that go beyond shelter, through gaining insight and understanding from speaking to residents of the Dharavi slums in Mumbai to working in practice and seeing architecture applied, I have begun to learn how these 3 elements are a starting point for design and each host equal importance to one another.
Designing a school of Art Conservation was a way for me to combine these elements into a use that celebrates them. Using my knowledge as an artist and skills from running my own business in the arts I could move the story of this development through every detail, to ensure it travelled beyond form and into a physical embodiment of my three fundamentals.
